The city of Rio de Janeiro hosted a historic edition of the Pan American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship and the Rio 2026 Pan American Tournament, events that reached the highest number of entries registered to date and brought together the best promises of continental rhythmic gymnastics.
The event received 206 gymnasts from 21 nations, including adult, youth and tournament. The competitions were held at the Carioca Arena, an Olympic-level venue that previously hosted the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships 2025.
The competitions were marked by a high technical and artistic level, with outstanding performances by the delegations from the United States, Brazil, Mexico and Canada, who were the protagonists of exciting moments.
At the Rio 2026 Pan American Tournament, the All Around Team podium was led by Brazil, which won the gold medal with 93,900 points. The United States won the silver medal with 92.900 points, while Canada completed the podium with 85.800 points.
The Pan American Junior Championships crowned the best gymnasts in the Individual All Around. Anna Filipp of the United States was proclaimed Pan American champion with a score of 101.400 points. Mexico’s Marijose Delgado won the silver medal with 93.150 points, while Brazil’s Beatriz Vieira took the bronze with 92.950 points.
In the team competition of the Junior Pan American Championship, the United States confirmed its dominance by winning the gold medal with a total score of 246,550. Brazil placed second with 232.150 points and Canada closed the podium with 225.650.
The Junior Team final also offered great emotions, Brazil won the continental title with 43,600 points, followed by Mexico with 39,900 and Canada with 36,450, in a competition that stood out for the precision and synchronization of the gymnasts.
In the apparatus finals, Anna Filipp returned to the top of the podium with 25,150 points, followed by Marijose Delgado with 24,000 points and Brazil’s Linda Petersen with 23,600 points. In hoop, Filipp won a new gold medal with 25,300 points, while her compatriot Izabella Oleynik won silver with 24,800 and Beatriz Vieira added another bronze for Brazil with 24,750.
In the 5-ball ensemble final, Brazil once again celebrated the gold medal with a score of 23,650. Canada took silver with 21,300 and Mexico completed the podium with 20,200 points.
With record participation, an extraordinary competitive level and an atmosphere of sporting fraternity, Pan Rio 2026 leaves an indelible mark on Pan American rhythmic gymnastics and confirms the bright future of the continent’s new generations.
