The Pan American Gymnastics Union (UPAG) is the official governing body of gymnastics in the Americas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In coordination with the National Federations, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and PanamSports, it establishes the rules of participation and carries out strategies for the development and promotion of the disciplines recognized by the FIG.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It currently has 33 affiliated National Federations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

              \n
            • To study all matters related to gymnastics that are of common interest to the Members.<\/span><\/li>\n
            • <\/i> Contribute to the development and strengthening of relations among Members.<\/span><\/li>\n
            • <\/i> Promote gymnastics in all its forms.<\/span><\/li>\n
            • <\/i> Develop progressive programs, when deemed necessary by the Union, for appropriate levels of performance.<\/span><\/li>\n
            • <\/i> Organize meetings and conferences for the exchange of information between Members, gymnasts, coaches, judges and directors.<\/span><\/li>\n
            • <\/i> Organize and supervise area competitions and events in the disciplines of Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Aerobic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics, Acrobatic Gymnastics, Gymnastics for All and Parkour.<\/span><\/li>\n
            • <\/i> Take the necessary actions to achieve the constitutional objectives of the UPAG.<\/span><\/li>\n
            • <\/i> Maintain communication and collaboration with FIG.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              • Comply with (and support Members in complying with) the FIG and UPAG Statutes and their Technical Regulations.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • To discuss with the Members all topics proposed and\/or contained in the FIG Congress Agenda, in order to develop and make known the UPAG policy with them.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • <\/i> Select opinions of the Members related to issues of common interest and work to establish common points of view, thus eliminating differences among the Federations.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • <\/i> To ensure that all representatives of Member countries, who are serving in any capacity in FIG are duly informed about the common interests of the Members of UPAG, so that they act in a spirit of solidarity and assistance in favor of the Pan American Area.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • <\/i> Publish newsletters and technical bulletins about UPAG’s work and activities.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • <\/i> Maintain and make available to the Members in a timely manner, the Bylaws, regulations, minutes and financial records of the UPAG.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
