Colombian Camilo Vera was one of the great figures of the Artistic Gymnastics World Youth Championships held in Manila, Philippines. The athlete, originally from Cúcuta, reached the top of the podium twice, claiming gold in the parallel bars and horizontal bar events.
In the apparatus finals day, Vera executed a highly difficult routine on the parallel bars with impeccable solidity, achieving a score of 13.866. A dream fulfilled, today I am world champion, thank you Philippines for everything, glory and honor be to God,” he wrote on his social networks after his coronation.
