The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) integrated the mixed team competition modality in Artistic Gymnastics at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games into the program of events.

In addition to gymnastics, mixed events were included in archery, athletics (mixed 4x100m relay), golf, beach sprint rowing and table tennis. Of the 351 events, there are 161 women’s, 165 men’s and 25 mixed events, according to the IOC.

It will be the first time that men and women will perform their routines on the same team officially and on the world’s largest platform from its headquarters at the Crypto.com Arena.

In the team events of Paris 2024, the American continent won gold (USA) and bronze (BRA) in the women’s category, while in the men’s category, the U.S. team took third place.
