The Pan American Gymnastics Union (UPAG) officially opens the call to design the Official Mascot, a symbol that will represent the Pan American spirit of gymnastics and will accompany all official Pan American Championships in the continent.
This mascot will be given as a special recognition to the medalist athletes in the official UPAG championships and will embody our values of unity, inclusion, effort, excellence and Panamerican diversity.
The purpose of this initiative is to create an original, inclusive and representative mascot, capable of transmitting the identity of Pan American gymnastics and adapting to multiple formats:
- – Graphic image
- – Official plush toy
- – Promotional items
- – Institutional figure
The proposal should be visually friendly, appealing and easily recognizable throughout the continent.
Official Launch
The contest was launched on Sunday, February 15, 2026 and widely disseminated through UPAG’s official channels.
The deadline for submitting proposals is April 20, 2026.
The winner will be announced on June 22, 2026, during the UPAG General Assembly, while the official launch of the mascot is scheduled during the Pan American Cup. USAG in Panama.
Award:
The winner will receive:
Special invitation to the USAG Pan American Cup – Panama, with airfare, lodging and VIP accreditation.
Official recognition of the UPAG as the creator of the mascot.
International diffusion of its creation in all official events.
Possibility of future artistic collaboration with UPAG.
The proposal must meet the following criteria:
Original and unpublished design (no copies or copyrighted elements will be accepted).
Presentation in digital format (JPG or PNG), in color and with white background.
Include:
- – Proposed pet name
- – Brief description (maximum 100 words)
- – Justification of the design and how it represents the values of UPAG.
The style must be suitable for conversion into plush and promotional material.

- – Signed letter accepting the terms and conditions of the contest (model available on the official website of the UPAG).
Evaluation criteria:
The jury appointed by the UPAG Executive Committee will evaluate:
- – Originality and creativity
- – Representativeness of UPAG values
- – Potential for application in different formats (plush, digital, merchandising)
- – Sympathy, empathy and visual impact
Legal terms and conditions
The winning design will become the intellectual property of UPAG, with exclusive right of use.
The author shall retain credit as the official creator of the mascot.
By participating, contestants fully accept all contest rules and regulations.
The creativity of the continent is invited to give life to the symbol that will represent the future of Pan American gymnastics.
